The people of the past were inseparable from the landscape they lived in, and so we integrate our Iron Age sessions with topics like farming, herblore, woodcraft, tracking, foraging, plant identification and traditional crafts which link your local history with the countryside around you.
They set up camp on the top of Moel y Gaer hillfort , and their presentations captured the imaginations of adults and children alike. The children were obviously enthralled. In the afternoon about 30 adults visited their camp and were as impressed. What was so good was that James and Lea were able to get the same information over to both the children and the adults but at exactly the right level for the different audiences, a skill which meant both groups found the visit fascinating.
