Red exclamation mark on file icons

Apparently, updates marked with the red exclamation mark are critical updates, rather than simple updates, like antivirus definitions. To that extent, they are there to signal that you must install the latest updates to benefit from the latest security features. Can I ask what your syncing status is? If I were you, I'd try to reboot my device as well. Also, if you move a file outside of your Dropbox folder, does the red exclamation mark remain? And the exclamation certainly looks like an error, but the files are totally fine when viewed both on the computer and via the website. Also, the error symbol used to be a red x and I can't find anywhere online that says that's changed. You could be right, though - do you have a link to any info on the symbols?
